Longings Fulfilled: Tasha at Home in New England

May 1 through October 31, 2015

This year the Tasha Tudor Museum celebrates the 100th anniversary of Tasha’s birth with an intimate exhibit of cherished possessions from Tasha’s home and artwork which she created while living in four New England states. Her unflagging determination to experience all that was beautiful in rural living is explored in a special display of objects never before placed on public view.

From Scratch: Tasha’s Handmade Life

May 2 through October 18, 2014

Immerse yourself in Tasha’s lifestyle as you take in her handmade things which include a corgi, original paintings and drawings and canned goods.  See how Tasha’s devotion to hand-written letters inspired some of her followers. Watch the documentary, enjoy a cup of Tasha’s tea, revisit the lost art of letter writing and even try a bit of watercolour painting.  Your children may enjoy our dress up area, colouring pages, reading corner, dollhouse, play tea set with cookstove and more.

Unending Delight: Tasha’s World of Dolls

Beloved for her ability to see the world with a child-like wonder, Tasha Tudor created an elaborate dolls world in which her dolls celebrated holidays, married, exchanged letters with the children and so much more.  Visit to see Daisy Brownthrush, a doll handmade by Tasha as well as original paintings, photographs of the dolls visiting England, Sparrow Post Valentines, doll catalogues and more.

 

For the Love of Frocks: Tasha’s Favorite Dresses
May 5-October 20, 2012

April 28: Members Only: Dress Exhibit Sneak Peek 4-6pm Charter Members and Tasha Tudor Museum Society Members are invited to join us for a special sneak peek of the new exhibit featuring the historic costumes of Tasha Tudor. Guests will have the opportunity to put on archival museum gloves and touch the 1840’s wool work dress Tasha wears throughout the book Tasha Tudor’s Garden.Curator Leigh Branson will also be available to answer questions and provide more personal details about the favorite frocks on display. Cheese, fruit, and sparkling cider will be served. Free to Members.
